Some Quick Concept Art

Hello reader! It’s been awhile since my last post, but I will assure you that I am not in fact dead. Or the game for that matter! Yes we have another update: we now have concept art. It was drawn by Nick (I don’t know his last name and he is not to be mistaken for Nick Falaschi (who I hope I spelled his last name right…)) who appeared at my door one day with Eloy. I told him he should draw some quick concept art for our game and he did. He drew these in about an hour and a half and they came out rather nicely for such short notice. Also a quick sketch of a level drawn by Eloy is here.

Eureka!

Big milestone today on the game making forefront, I just got the basic mechanics programmed to android module standards and set the gamepad controls and let me tell ya it is pretty damn responsive. Now the next step is to polish the controls and mechanics, let Nolan get busy with the concept art, and for Eloy to start on level design. These are exciting times for Big Baby Creations, dear readers. Very exciting times.

Meager Beginnings

So I was a bit reckless today…

I spent $180 in the time span of an hour for a game I’ve been working on a whiles now with a few of the awesome people here at Big Baby.  We’ve set out on making a rather simple, yet contemplative platformer about a mother searching for her children.

It is in its early stages, but it will inevitably grow into something much more than that. I will, from here on out, be posting updates to its progress here, so please do stick around. It is planned to release on the Ouya and perhaps even Steam. We are an indie development team working out of pocket so please be patient with us.
